Manzanillo

Manzanillo is located in the State of Colima in the Golden Mexican Pacific, regarded the most famous deep- sea port on the Mexican Pacific. It is located on the shipping lines routes coming over from Far East, and North and Centre of South America. Its Geographical locations allows Manzanillo magnificent landscapes, breathtaking sunsets, beautiful golden beaches, spectacular views of the bay and sunny days. The average temperature goes up the 22 centigrade, which altogether makes of Manzanillo a very attractive tourist spot. During the last years its growth and development have improved the tourism area with the settlement of resorts, hotels, golf courses and service providers of high quality from Mexico and other countries.

 

 

Historical Overview

ManzanilloDuring the 16th century the Spanish conquistadors took advantage of the ideal topography of Manzanillo’s twin bays to establish a port and the first ship building yard in the Americas. In 1564, Spanish galleons sailed from Manzanillo to conquer the Phillipines, and later, the famous Nao of China arrived here. In the 1960s, Manzanillo began to develop on the international tourism scene. Today it is one of the favorite beach destinations for visitors from Canada and the United States who come to Mexico’s Mexican Pacific coastline.

There is planty to see in Manzanillo HIistoric Centre, it has gone through a thorough remodeling wich enables people to admire a representative sculpture of a sailfish of 25 meters high. Stroll around the local markets where you can find fresh seafood, meat and vegetables.
Manzanillo
Located in Historic Centre of Manzanillo, this is a robotic show that features more than fifty visual effects, formed by lights of colours, fifteen meters high water beams that move along with the traditional Mexican music, which altogether overwhelms the audience

Peña Blanca is a treasure located a few kilometers to the north of Playa de Oro. These beaches. An isolated strech of sand save for a few rickety uninhabited palapas that provide respite from the scorching sun.
